We invite you to discover one of Fernie's finest dining experiences!
Note: The Old Elevator is currently closed and will not re-open for the 2008 summer season. We would like to thank all of our patrons who visited us this past winter!

Celebrating its 27th year of operation, the Old Elevator was awarded the Wine Spectator 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 Restaurant Award of Excellence. Featuring a unique setting, creative cuisine, great wines, and attentive service, the Old Elevator invites you to enjoy a truly memorable dining experience in Fernie.
Housed in a restored grain feed store originally built in 1908, the elegant dining room still features the original elevator and loft as part of its architecture. To get a better idea of the unique atmosphere the Old Elevator offers; click here to take a virtual tour of our main dining room. The restaurant also features two private dining rooms as well as a cozy fireside lounge. This lounge or "wine bar" as we like to call it, is the perfect place to enjoy a great glass or wine and appetizers with friends.
With each menu, the focus is on simple, yet creative interpretations of beef, western game, seafood and pasta dishes. Seasonally inspired specials and decadent homemade desserts round out our varied and extensive menu. Check out our menu page to see our most recent menu offerings. Wine fans can also visit our award winning wine list to view the current selection of fine wines to compliment your meal.
The Old Elevator is located at 291-1st Avenue in historical downtown Fernie. We located on the southern end of Victoria Avenue just across from the Vogue Theatre and Grand Central Hotel.
